I’ve almost finished the Highlands shawl: it’s wearable but I want to put some finishing touches to it. Pic seems to show it quite well and I’ll post another when it’s done. I don’t think it will be done before the weekend though.

I did start another project with a skein from my She Wakes the Storm kit. But the pattern is one of those free ones that you have to follow online while navigating ads and so it’s a bit too exhausting for me to navigate right now. So I’ve been working on the MCAL which is coming along really well.

I could buy the ad-free pattern but I actually decided yesterday that I wasn’t going to buy any more yarn or patterns until 1 October. Have enough of both to last me until then and that’s not even taking into account my crochet WIPs, my EPP project, and my embroidery projects. I’ve got more than enough to keep me happy. It will actually be quite interesting to see what sort of effect this resolution has on my finances! I don’t think I’m extravagant but I know I do buy yarn and patterns I don’t need and unfortunately I have favoured expensive yarn lately which is not great.
